It all began with Sea Pines, modern day Hilton Head Island that is. The ideals that helped guide the birth of Sea Pines in the 60s shaped much of Hilton Head & Bluffton. They also transcended our area to be incorporated in communities all over the country.
Charles Fraser, a pioneer and visionary developer, began with a raw piece of land with natural beauty that would rival just about any; century old live oaks, miles of Atlantic Ocean beaches, marshes and tidal waterways, bursting with wildlife. It was a natural paradise. Instead of cutting down the trees, he wove the roads through the landscape. He created bike paths to cut down on vehicular traffic. The homes and villas that were built were painted to blend into the natural setting. No building was to be built higher than a pine tree.
In addition to homes and villas, two marinas, four golf courses, and a commercial shopping plaza were built within its gates. Visitors and residents could eat, sleep, shop, and recreate, all whilst leaving their car parked.
It has become a place where a people will come with their children, and each generation will follow with their own. With each passing year, new memories are made and shared with loved ones.
For those considering a purchase in Sea Pines, there are resort areas, those that tend to be more residential, and others that are a mix of both. Vacation rentals tend to be prominent closest to the beach. Other areas such as Club Course have more primary residences.
Throughout the community, there are home of varying size, views, styles, and price-points. Amenities include the Sea Pines Beach Club, Tower Beach, the community pool at Harbourtown, miles and miles of leisure trails, access to deepwater at Harbourtown and South Beach Marinas, three public golf courses including Harbourtown, home to the RBC Heritage PGA Golf tournament, and one private course – the Sea Pines Country Club.
If you are looking for a home to share with family and friends and to create lasting memories, Sea Pines may be a perfect fit!
